OffWatch is entering Closed Beta. We’re inviting a small group of yacht crew to be among the first to use it, and beta access is free.
Places are limited and admission happens in batches — joining the list isn’t immediate access.
The concept
Built around life on board, not adapted from it
Yachting has its own shape: seasons that move you across the Med and the Caribbean, charters that eat the calendar, yard periods, and a crew mess that becomes your whole social world for months at a time. You are rarely in one place long enough to build something, and your time off is short and rarely when anyone else’s is. OffWatch starts from that reality, rather than treating it as an edge case of a general-purpose social app.

Yacht crew spend their careers moving between boats, marinas, ports and seasons. You end up in the same place as people you know — or people you would like to know — over and over, and almost never realise it. OffWatch is built to close that gap.
Someone you did a season with is on a boat three berths down tonight.
You finally have a day off in Palma, and so does another crew member half a mile away.
Two boats share a marina for thirty-six hours, and nobody finds out in time.
“We should catch up sometime” finally turns into an actual plan.

When it goes both ways, you become Connections. There are no follower counts here, and no one-sided attention.
Talk, and arrange to meet
You don’t have to connect first to say something. Any verified crew member can message another, so a conversation never waits on both people tapping the same button. Becoming Connections is what adds the extra: an arrival notification when one of you turns up nearby again, and the social links you’ve each chosen to share with Connections.
Or just put something on
Create an event — coffee before a shift, a swim, five-a-side, drinks after a long charter — and see what other crew nearby have already started.
The point is never the app. It’s the coffee ashore, the catch-up between rotations, the friendship that outlasts the contract.
